Entry №003: Netopyr — the old Slavic word for a bat, and the thing that word was afraid to name. White-eyed, black-mouthed, it crosses the night on ragged wings and drinks what it finds. In the bestiary of Nav, it is the messenger you hear one wingbeat too late.
The creature is printed on both sides of the mug — it faces outward whichever hand you hold it in. Opposite the handle sits the catalogue plate in Russian, the original language of the bestiary: the creature's name, entry number №003 and the artist name, VYASNA.
